Watch Me

So yesterday was my one year post op visit with my new surgeon. To recap, I switch bariatric programs because I hated with a passion my original passion and hindsight being what it is, I wish I would have gone with a different bariatric program….but I didn’t, so oh well

Anyway, yesterday was my one year post opt apt. It was actually my 13 month apt because we had a terrible snow storm in Feb when I was supposed to go….ok

So overall my surgeon was very impressed with my weight loss. I was told (by the original surgeon) that I would probably max out around 222, but I’m sitting at 207 currently. So he was impressed, but went on to say that I’ve probably maxed out at this point.

I chuckled.

I told him, I fully intend to get to 157 (1/2 of my starting weight). He said, “I’m not going to say it won’t happen, but it’s going to take some work”

When has this journey, NOT been work?!?!!

I just politely smiled and told him, I’ll get there….
I have another 50 pounds to go and I have no expectations of when it will come off.

IF I can get it to come off this year (2015) Great, if not, I will keep working at it until it does!!

This is my plan.

I’m one determined girl who WILL obtain my goals because that’s just who I am.

Driven, Goal-Oriented, mom, wife, recovered brain tumor survivor, chronic migraine survivor, subarachnoid hemorrhage (aka stroke) survivor.

I AM a survivor and I will overcome obesity and be healthy.

Watch me Dr. Richardson……watch me!!
