Discovering Me

It’s been months since I updated on my other blogs and honestly so much has changed since the beginning of my journey that I decided to start a new blog. This blog will focus on the daily grind of my journey to a healthier, fitter lifestyle. This blog will encompass all that I am and hope to become. First and foremost, I am a Christ follower. Without my relationship with Jesus, I would not be on this path in life. So in this blog I will give Him praise for all my milestones. Secondly, I am a mom and wife, this is part of who I am. I have begun to homeschool my children this year, so in this blog I will share my struggles and victories in homeschooling. Thirdly, I am a bariatric aspiring bodybuilder. Yes I had bariatric surgery. No I do not think it was the “easy” way out. It was the right decision for me, it was the catalyst that launched me into a new way of living and thinking. In this blog, I will share about my physical and mental/emotional struggle with becoming the new me. I work out 6 days a week, lifting weights and doing cardio. I take a rest day on Sundays. I go to counseling every Monday and have been since I was 6 weeks post op because I recognized, for me, I needed to get my head right in order to get my life right. So in this blog I will share the day in and day out struggle of counseling and exercise.  One of my counseling “assignments” was to discover “hobbies” that I enjoy, blogging has always been something I’ve enjoyed. So this new blog is an effort to rediscover this long abandoned hobby of mine.

I hope you enjoy reading and following me on his new journey. Please leave a comment as it’s quite encouraging to know people are reading 🙂
